Issue created by Sebastian Huber: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/work_items/5800
The BSP dispatches its interrupts through the legacy handler tables of the shared PowerPC code and never initializes the generic interrupt support. `rtems_interrupt_entry_install()` and the other directives therefore return `RTEMS_INCORRECT_STATE`. The directives which query or change a vector are stubs. The decrementer has the vector of OpenPIC source 15. No vector can be raised by software, so tm27 uses the decrementer.
`ts-validation-intr` fails on `powerpc/psim` and ends with a spurious interrupt fatal error. The test runner marks it as an expected failure without a reason.
Found while running the full test suite on the GDB simulator. This description was created with Claude Code assistance.
