Thanks @sebhub and @joel for the review and the forum reference.

Understood on the 34-bit watchdog second-representation ceiling — enforcing TOD_LATEST_YEAR = 2400 in the input check guarantees we never feed an overflowing epoch into _Watchdog_Tick() / coretodtickle.c while maintaining a clear safety margin.

I have marked this MR as ready for review and merge.
