## Summary
The documentation is unclear on how the `OBTAIN` and `RELEASE` `IOCTL` calls are used. The documentation needs to be updated to reflect a use case such as;

Obtain provides exclusive access to the iodev instance letting a task complete a sequence of operations which require a number of ioctl calls.
