I have tested this with the FDT source file [am335x-boneblack.dts](/-/project/13/uploads/2c6e6b10eb6ac70ddc8fe61eed207888/am335x-boneblack.dts). This is derived from the FreeBSD FDT some of which are GPL 2 so please check and consider the license. I have not regenerated the DTB from the original sources as I think there are some mistakes in it.
