No surprize - Like probably all OSes around today, they probably have a 
fork of their own, which should not be of any importance to anybody else 
but them ... and so do we.

I.e. our librpc's upstream is us. It's a fork of a source tarball Sun 
Microssystem droped to the internet ca. 20 years ago and which was 
picked up by RTEMS 10-15 years ago.

However, provided that rpc is very sensitive code (It's very dirty code) 
your proposal will require very careful inspection and review.

I'd recommend to BZ this patch and give it at least 1 month of trial period,
