I think one of the main tasks will be to unify (or make compatible) the type 
systems of Newlib, RTEMS, and FreeBSD.  The goal should be to use one 
<sys/cdefs.h> for Newlib, RTEMS, and FreeBSD.  FreeBSD should be able to use 
the <sys/types.h> etc. from RTEMS.
