Chris and I chatted about small memory BSPs yesterday evening. He
has an idea for addressing this in a more precises and general manner.
Let's give him a shot before I hack some more. :)

And honestly, I am not that concerned about this one. It is out of our
hands and the AVR port is incomplete.

OK. I will try to replicate that on the others.

Getting everything to even build is a big step towards a branching point.
