The best place to get started with RTEMS is to go through the guide we
have prospective Google Summer of Code students follow:
https://devel.rtems.org/wiki/GSoC/GettingStarted

Ask questions as you get stuck or curious, and peruse the wiki from
the above link too. Some other docs can be found through
https://docs.rtems.org/

You can see the "Open Projects" page for an idea of some of the
projects that students did/could work on.
