Asynchronous read and write in RTEMS

Hi,

Did RTEMS has asynchronous read an write support.

In the RTEMS posix API documentation it is mentioned
"aio_read/aio_write : This routine is not currently supported by RTEMS but
could be in a future version."

Can anyone help..
