Both is possible. Maybe you are right that it is a better idea to do
that after the configuration side is done too. Otherwise a lot of it
will be re-written multiple times. I'll keep that on my list for that
project.

Yes of course I will do the configuration side. We already discussed
that I have the time for that in a project. To be honest: I was already
quite positively surprised that you did these patches. I'll keep you up
to date with the progress.
I could work on a branch for the changes but it maybe would already be a
good idea to update and push these two patches (I can do that) so that
they don't get out of sync with the libbsd. They are already a great
step. Of course that might leaves the documentation in a work in
progress state till I do the configuration work (like discussed above).
What do you think?
