currently the only significant change that's needed
is the covoar update that I suggested. Other than that
there are a few #FIXMEs in the code that I added.
They are small issues and need a quick fix.
We can start a new thread with these topics as
it's very close to merging.

BTW, the coverage can now run from outside the
build directory as well :)
