Status update for autotools build system removal

Hi,

Nov 1st 2020 was set as the point to start removing the autotools build system
and so I wanting to see what the status is and if there are any blocking issues
that need to be discussed?

I am OK with the removal and I have not seen any issues on the BSPs I am working
with.
