FIFO size for ns16550

Hello everyone,
 
I wonder why the FIFO buffer size is set to 16. Now we use SOC with UART that compatible with NS16550  but there are 128 bytes FIFO. Maybe is better to have a configurable parameter at the specific BSP level.
