GDB build failure under Cygwin environment !

Yes. I'm aware of this problem. You can do what I'm about to and grab it
from the http://sourceware.cygnus.com/cygwin/ which has the appropriate
libraries in its Ports sections. You might need to do something about an
/etc/termcap to keep things happy.

I'm not sure what's happened to the powerpc RPMS at all. I certainly built
them! The GDB RPMS will probably happen but only in time for the full
release of 4.5.0. The tools take so long to build and upload that I'm not
too keen to repeat the excercise unless I absolutely have to ;)
