This is supposed to work :) 

Did you have the trailing slash at the end of the -B parameter?

I am not sure, but the order may matter.

Try adding -v to the compiler's flags. 

It should tell you all the "glory details" about how -B <path>/lib/
gets expanded. This normally includes prepending -isystem
<path>/lib/include.
