i386 and Linux5.2 scanf()

Hello,
  I have sucessfully finished with bit and bit_rtems for i386
  on a Linux 5.2 host..
  I also exicuted the hello world test and using GRUB to load the bin=
  ary
  on my pc.Every thing works fine..But scanf() was not able go with the sam=
  e
  test..Can some one help me out????How am i supposed to use scanf()?????
