4.5.0 B2 configure fun

Dear chaps,

I'm doing:

../rtems-4.5.0-beta2/configure --target=powerpc-rtems --disable-posix
--disable-itron --enable-cxx --enable-rtemsbsp="eth-comm" 

and getting lots of other stuff followed by:

checking for Cygwin environment... no
checking for mingw32 environment... no
checking for executable suffix... configure: error: installation or
configuration problem: compiler cannot create executables.
configure: error: ../../../rtems-4.5.0-beta2/tools/build/configure failed
for tools/build

I've got powerpc-rtems-gcc and the binutils in the path, build path (where
I/m running the configure) is /home/rtems/build.

Any ideas?
