Shells with a small footprint

Hi,.

I have been looking in vein for a small shell for use in embedded 
systems, sh/ksh/bash/ash/tcsh/zsh etc are all to unix (i.e large)
based and are out of our league as far as prom sizes go.

Are there any taylored small shells available, or any cut down versions 
of the above ?
