Forget the GBA, grab a VTech Helio on the cheap (£50 GB, approx. $72). It's 
got 2Meg Flash, 8Meg Ram (expandable), a touchscreen and a 75MHz R3000 
derived CPU (TX3192AU) - more than enough to simply recompile libogg, 
libmpeg3 or skyaudio to play your tunes with, and cheaper than a GBA (even 
without any of the hardware add-ons that are being talked about).
