objcopy question (about srec) - Urgent

the gnu obj tools dont make any differences between srec1 and srec2 files,..
are you really sure you need srec2 ?,.. trying diff'ing the output of objcopy
and whatever commerical toolchain you have around,.. 

yuo may be able to manually make any differences,.

some tips,.. make sure you strip the obj -S, or all hell will break loose
