They haven't been removed, just renamed.  M860AllocateBufferDescriptors 
has been renamed to m8xx_bd_allocate, for example.  
See libcpu/powerpc/mpc8xx/cpm/dpram.c (at least that's where it is in 
rtems-ss-20020628; I don't know if more recent snapshots have moved it
again).
