simulation overflow error

Hai,
I am trying to run some RTEMS application on the TSIM
simulator for LEON. When ever i use a gets or scanf or
use some timing test I get a simualtion over flow
error. But the same application works fine for me on
the hardware.
Does anyone have any idea regarding this ?
