Hi all

I have question, perhaps stupid, but sorry I'm novice.

I installed ready packages of gcc and binutils grabbed from oarcorp
for 4.5.0 release.
And in directry /usr/local/bin exist tools like
i386-rtems-(ar, as etc..) on my FreeBSD.

Question:
What is purpose of tools in /usr/local/i386-rtems/bin/ directory?
Tools like ar, as, gcc etc.

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I installed freebsd packages for rtems release 4.5.0 grabbed from
ftp.oarcorp.com/pub/rtems/releases/4.5.0/c_tools/freebsd_x86/tgz/i386-rtems/
and I also downloaded rtems-4.5.0 release (no snapshot).

There were a few infos during rtems building:

ELF binary type "0" not known

What it means??

Sample - hallo.exe (I compile for pc386 bsp) which I found in samples
directory works.
But is huge, about 800kB (8 hundreds kilo bytes!).
Do I missed somthing?
