GDB-5.2 and Wiggler

Has anyone used GDB-5.2 with a Wiggler device under any flavor of 
Unix?  From the documentation it would seem that

target ocd wiggler /dev/lpt0

is the correct invocation but I'm getting error messages from the above 
line.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

   The target is a Motorola Excimer board with the MPC603e replaced with a 
MPC745.
   The Wiggler has never been used before.
   The actual OS I'm using is NetBSD.
   The MPC745 is supposed to be pin and code compatible but who knows...

   There's nothing quite as fun as having at least four different unknowns 
in the equation....

    except maybe five...

    The host is a Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop
                 -- Macraigor doesn't seem to recommend using the Wiggler 
with laptops
