Anyone using RTEMS on Motorola ColdFire (e.g. MCF5272)?

Hello all,
I am a newbie to RTEMS, and it seems that I am in the same "boat" as what
Maarten was a year ago. So, I was wondering if anyone has ported a bsp to the
MCF5272C3 board in the year since these emails?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Andrew Sinclair

Hi Maarten,
Please check out the following URL. The web page has some
very useful information about Motorola Coldfire development.
At this web site there is a link to the Netburner site and
some old information about RTEMS.

http://www.fiddes.net/coldfire/

Also, I do not think you will be able to use the RPM binary
versions of the GNU tools for Coldfire development. This
web site has some patches that must be applied to gcc for the
coldfire. And you will also want Chris John's gdb-bdm patches.

I am working using a Coldfire 5206e evaluation board. Below
are the versions of the tools that I am using (built from the
source code).

 1) binutils-2.10 with Coldfire patches and RTEMS patch 2000-11-07
 2) gcc-2.95.3 with Coldfire patches and RTEMS patch 2001-03-14
 3) newlib-1.9.0 with Coldfire patches and RTEMS patch 2001-06-22
 4) rtems snapshot 2001-08-16

Good Luck
Mike Siers
