I've done this with a co-workers' Eclipse install.  it was originally
set up for the cypress CY7C67300 USB host adapter, but eclipse calls out
to make, so by changing the Makefile I had it cross-compiling using the
RTEMS tools in a few minutes.

my "IDE" consists of vim, gdb, and minicom...
