Is this the C vs. C++ conflict?  Are the functions implemented in C++
but called from C?  If so you can enclose the prototypes like this:


#ifdef  __cplusplus
extern "C" {
#endif


<function prototypes here>


#ifdef  __cplusplus
}
#endif
