Error building gdb on Linux for PowerPC - RESOLVED

Figured it out, I guess.  It seems the compiler didn't like how some 
copyright notices were being coded in C.  Used the old method and all 
works - gdm is installed.

Don't know why this is so, and why it only bothers my computer...  
Regardless, I'm past this issue, FWIW.
