I thought this, but changing the setting I had from 1 to 4 didn't make
any difference.

Because both the Monitor and the Capture Engine work fine, doesn't that
mean the user extensions manager _must_ really be there?
BTW - So far, 4.7.99.2 looks fine on PowerPC/virtex, networking works
great...
