Compilation issues under i386 for i386.

The default location is:
./configure --help
`configure' configures rtems 4.7.99.1 to adapt to many kinds of systems.

Usage: ./configure [OPTION]... [VAR=VALUE]...
...
Installation directories:
  --prefix=PREFIX         install architecture-independent files in
PREFIX
                          [/opt/rtems-4.8]

...

Besides this, this is the location where the files will be installed to.
It is not being used during a built.
