I honestly don't remember any.  If there were any issues, they
probably were with pre-release snapshots. 

I recall doing gcc testing with pre-2.19 snapshots and not
having any trouble.

Would it be possible to spin them and place them in 4.9-testing?
Then let me do a full build sweep of all BSPs on england.

I don't remember there being any issues at all moving from
4.9 tools to 4.10.  Before the recent newlib changes I would
sometimes build the head with 4.9 tools and the 4.9 branch
with 4.10 tools.  psim and sis are the main BSPs I test on.
