RHEL3 does not have tools for RTEMS 4.9.  Without looking
I can guarantee that it ships with a gm4 <= the one with
RHEL4 so would be in the same boat if it were still supported.

Since Ralf is likely asleep now, I will guess that since he
didn't mention RHEL5, it has a sufficiently new gm4.

If support for RHEL4 is important to some project, they
need to speak up.  Since it is falling into the "special
effort to support" category, you need to either upgrade
or arrange to fund Ralf to keep it supported.
