A question about the per-task variable

The feature of the per-task variable is
1. Modification of the owner will not affect other non-owner tasks
2. Other tasks' modification will not affect the owner.

That seems right on single-core processor.
I thought that it is wrong on a SMP which can
really run several task simultaneously(not pseudo parallelizm)

Right?
