Building rtems to run on host machine

According to README.configure, a port can be built that will run for debug
purposes on the host machine, using the keyword Œposix¹.  Is that option
still supported?

When I try to do it, I get ŒInvalid Configuration Œposix¹: machine Œposix¹
not recognized.

I¹m using apple-darwin as a host.
