I assume you are using 4.9.x.  If this is the case, then...
Given that this isn't a major addition, I would prefer it
have a PR (http://www.rtems.org/bugzilla) so it can be
applied to the 4.9 branch.

Did you add a file named make/custom/mvme2700.cfg?
It wasn't attached.

If we are just adding it to the CVS head, then this is
enough.

Adding entries to the appropriate Wiki pages would
be greatly appreciated.  Start here
