AFAIK, 'bin' is a pure binary. 'ralf' is a downloadable
image and its format is highly BSP/bootloader dependent.

For some BSPs '.ralf' may be a pure binary, for others
it could be in ELF, multiboot, proprietary or you-name-it
format.
