We are moving everything. You can go back to the original cvs import. An 
important aspect of the move to make sure this information is captured. 
I have some scripts here:

  http://www.rtems.org/ftp/pub/rtems/people/chrisj/git/

that extract the branches and tags and check out from cvs abd git then 
diff. There are differences related to keyword such as $Log$. There 
should be no other differences. If you spot anything please let us know 
on this list.
