Difference between task and tread

In practical terms they are the same thing. The choice of ten depends whether you are viewing the Classic API which is based on RTEID and ORKID which called them talks. In POSIX the same computer science object is called a thread.

Internal to RTEMS we use the term thread because the Classic API used real and we wanted a distinction. Then we added POSIX threads and that standard used the same term we had internally.
