?!? I don't recall what you are referring to.

The problem with the Ubuntu packages is their sources are yet being 
automatically generated from the sources the rpms are generated from and 
building these packages taking a lot of time

The current Ubuntu/Debian package are in sync with the rpms, ATM.

Well, rebuilding, modifying and updating them from *.dsc should be not 
be too difficult for for Ubuntu/Debian-based developers.

No current one that I am aware about. It's possible, because *deb 
packaging has a substantially weaker automatic dep-tracking than rpm, 
but it would surprise me, because these packages have been built in 
chroots.
