I downloaded the amd64 flavor of packages from

http://www.rtems.org/ftp/pub/rtems/linux/4.11/ubuntu/pool/rtems4.11/r/rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-gcc/

and tried to install them. Here's the result:

# dpkg -i rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib_4.7.2-0precise3_all.deb

Selecting previously unselected package rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib.
(Reading database ... 465579 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib (from
rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib_4.7.2-0precise3_all.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of
rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib:
  rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib depends on rtems-4.11-newlib-common;
however:
   Package rtems-4.11-newlib-common is not installed.
dpkg: error processing rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib (--install):
  dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
  rtems-4.11-m68k-rtems4.11-newlib

As far as I can see there is no package called rtems-4.11-newlib-common.

Pete.
