nios2

Hello all,

I notice that the microblaze tools are updated at this URL, but no such luck with a nios2 toolset. Maybe this is because nios2 support is in the gcc 4.9 manual, but not in 4.8, and so maybe it wasn't easy to get this working directly off of a FSF feed before but maybe now it's possible?

FWIW, there is also a new nios2 specific gcc 4.7 source code available at this site.

http://www.altera.com/support/ip/processors/nios2/ide/ips-nios2-ide-tutorial.html.

I ask about this because an implementation of the gcc intrinsic synchronization functions are needed here but they are not properly set up in the nios2 gcc 4.1 cross compiler I hand configured for nios2 some time back. It would also be nice to get automated stack traces based on the g++ stack unwinder working, but that may also require figuring out the RTEMS specific gcc configuration incantations.

Jeff
