Students interested in SOCIS: it is time to submit your proposal, the
deadline is approaching fast and several projects have not yet been
contacted by anyone... (I let the mentors post to give attention to
their situation).

Don't wait the last minute, you will decrease your chance of being
selected. The process requires some preliminary project discussion with
the mentor. After the deadline there will only be a few days to settle
everything, so those who have anticipated will obviously have more chance.
