ticket #2175 details?

I'm testing an or1k RTEMS port, and running into a very similar issue as
the one described in https://devel.rtems.org/ticket/2175, but when
reading this, it is marked as fixed in 4.11 with no information about
what the fix actually was.

Does anyone know what fixed the issue in that case, and if it may be
applicable to or1k as well?
