RTEMS has something similar with the trace linker:

I guess it would be possible to support DTrace via the libbsd since it 
works in the FreeBSD kernel. There are some low-level issues, e.g. you 
must be able to modify the code at run-time (difficult if you run from 
read-only flash for example).
