Yes it is.

I don't know if they will answer directly but we have users of this BSP.

I am adamantly opposed to it being removed until the x86_64 port is
available.

Fwiw the m68k is also on the table for removal from GCC. I expect us to do
the same for both. Freeze on the last available GCC version until that is
no longer viable.
