TOFU:

Thank you for the fast fix, Joel.

All i386 bsps compile again with the traditional bootstrapping.

Best regards,

   Jan

Hello,

We found some unexpected behavior when rebuilding the current RTEMS master for i386.
If we run the update as usual: pull current master, bootstrap, configure and finally make for i386 the compilation fails with the error

checking for RTEMS_BSP... pc386
checking for perl... /usr/bin/perl
configure: error: Invalid BSP
configure: error: ../../../../../../../rtems/c/src/lib/libbsp/i386/configure failed for lib/libbsp/i386

It also fails if one selects any other bsp.
Now we found the sb-bootstrap command in the new documentation[1]. If I use this one the configuration and building work.
Does that mean from now on the traditional (=slow) bootstrap shouldn't be used anymore?
From the explanation in the docs it sounds as if sb-bootstrap would do the same as bootstrap, but faster.

I can confirm this. sb-bootstrap produces a tree which is configurable. Regular bootstrap
does not.

There was no intention to break the regular bootstrap. Just a bug.

I just pushed a fix. It worked for pc386 and didn't introduce any differences in acinclude.m4
so I was happy enough to push it.

If that doesn't squash it completely, just report again.

Good catch!
