Basically RTEMS5 is stable enough to use in project. We had used the master version in our project.
And the final products had passed the Testing.
Our products base on ARM architecture, Xinlix Z7000 series.

We are working towards a release however I cannot provide a date at this point
in time. I will try and explain why.

Currently I am focusing on the release packages. This is something that needed
to be updated after 4.11 due to a number of things that have changed. I have
started to make release snapshots once a month to provide testing of the changes
I am making and to keep things updated as we go forward after RTEMS 5. You can
find the latest snapshot here:

https://ftp.rtems.org/pub/rtems/releases/5/5.0.0/5.0.0-m1912/

I am yet to start testing this snapshot as I am currently at the Flight Software
Workshop in Huntsville US.

A released package may need a release version file and this may change how some
packages work. For example the RSB downloads from the RTEMS ftp server rather
than the upstream home sites of the packages. Also the version cannot be
extracted from a git repo it is now set.

Another factor is making a release exposes issues between all the various pieces
that make up RTEMS so it difficult to estimate what is needed. Having said this
I think we are closing in on something that is suitable for release.

Finally this work is not unfunded so it needs to fit in when I can find the time.

Thanks
Chris
