Sorry, the discussion of two ideas got mixed in translation.  I agree that
ideally it should be one sparc port with multilibs.  When he started, I told
him
to do a separate target directory because it sounded more different than it
has turned out to be. 

I am just proposing that the file cpu_asm.S be split into a file
containing the context switch code and another containing the
interrupt code.  

Am I understanding your proposal correctly:

+ separate sparc and sparc64 tool targets
+ single sparc directory in score/cpu, libcpu, libbsp
+ auto-magic to map sparc64 -> sparc directories.
+ normal auto-tools use to switch on cpu model and BSPs.
