Yes, this is essentially what I had in mind. Whether this would be feasible
basically depends on how much of the code of the sparc and sparc64 is shareable
and how much isn't. That said, I would expect this to be easily applicable to
cpukit and libcpu, but am not sure about libbsp.
Also let me emphasize that I am pretty satisfied with Gedare's cpukit
patches/works. I'd vote to add them to CVS to let us get started.
I did so locally, which enabled me to check RTEMS for 64bit unclean spots
(cf. my today's patches - this is the beginning of a long series of patches :(
