It's amazing to watch this idea boomeranging every couple of years ;)

So let me reiterate what I repeatedly said before:

- Adopting avr-libc and rebasing the rtems toolchains to avr-libc is a
nightmare to maintain.

- It's just thanks to the fact the avr-folks are not sufficiently familiar with
newlib that they are advertising avr-libc.

- avr-libc mostly is a low-level library, whose low-level parts can co-exist in
RTEMS with a higher-level library such as newlib.


In the past, the escape had been to merge the necessarily parts of avr-libc
into RTEMS, but to ignore most of it.

That said, I see no sense in adopting avr-libc and am very opposed to this
idea.
